A two-day seminar helping strugglers, families and the church deal with addiction.
Fellowship Bible Church, Sewell NJ
November 17-18, 2023
Featuring speakers from The Addiction Connection and Harvest USA.
The Hope in the Gospel Seminar will have speakers who will speak to both the person who is in bondage and to their family members and friends. The information presented will also be very useful to pastors, counselors (faith-based and secular), and those that care for people struggling with addiction. The speakers will use the Bible as the foundation of all the principals they will share and show how God’s grace, mercy and truths apply to these difficult situations.
What is Addiction?
At its heart, addiction is idolatry. Addiction is putting desires and behaviors for something ahead of God and pursuing these with an unhealthy lust. Another way to describe it is being in bondage to besetting sins. Addiction impacts not only the person that is addicted, but also those around the addict – family, friends, and others.
